Biography / CV of Stephen Charnock

I established my practice in 1996, a year after attaining a BA (Hons) in three dimensional design. With grants from the PYBT and Business Link the practice grew and developed. To add to the success I was awarded a travel scholarship from the Winston Churchill Trust in 1998 which enabled me to study at the prestigious Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada. Whilst there I developed new techniques for printing onto ceramics and exhibited a body of work in their gallery.
I began to become recognized for my professional approach and innovative artwork, winning commissions from clients such as Railtrack Plc, The GLA, and Manchester City Council to name but a few. Now with over 15 years experience, I have my own fully equipped workshop and studio. I can design and make large scale steel work in house and provides graduate artists with experience and the opportunity to be involved in making public art and develop their own work. To date the practice has successfully produced over 100 commissions for clients throughout the UK.

Customer comment on 'Accepting (abstract Seated Woman Sitting statuettte)' by Plamen Dimitrov
Dear Plamen and Peter,

I am please to advise you both that `Acceptance` arrived yesterday afternoon and I unwrapped her in the early hours of this morning.
She is without doubt the most beautiful item I have ever possessed.
She is not a mere statue, she is sublime and a real presence in our lives already.
Her slenderness and beauty is a sheer joy to behold.
Thank you both and especially you Plamen for your creativity.
